They are not a simple ranking: dedicated routes emphasize path control, relays offer more routing flexibility, and direct connections use a simpler structure. Results vary by access network and intended use.

A relay route sends the connection to an intermediate access point before reaching the exit region through an organized path. Compared with connecting directly to a distant city, a relay can avoid some unfavorable cross-region paths and makes it easier to adjust the entry and exit combination for different access environments.

It suits mixed uses such as everyday browsing, AI tools, streaming, and general work. You do not need to understand every intermediate step: choose an entry whose target region matches the service and observe whether the session remains stable. If one relay performs poorly on the current network, switch to another entry in the same region instead of immediately moving to a faraway country.
